FAQ
What happens if I submit a plain copy or a photo of the record?
It gets rejected: official procedures require a certified copy with fe pública (official legal certification). A plain copy proves nothing.
Is the certified copy of the record as valid as the original?
Yes: it carries the same fe pública as the original entry.
How much does it cost?
Professional fees from $30 cover the full handling; official registry fees and shipping are separate.
Is it valid abroad?
It has to be apostilled; we do that separately.
Do I have to go in person?
No, we handle it for you and send it wherever you are.
About this procedure
Almost every important procedure asks for a certified copy of a Registro Civil record: your birth certificate for your cédula (Venezuelan national ID card), passport or school; your marriage certificate for benefits and insurance; the death certificate for the estate. And often the one you have is old, damaged or lost, or they simply want a recent one. Going to get it means standing in line, sometimes traveling to the other state where the record was registered, and the risk that the system is down that day. We get it without you having to move: we locate the record at the office where it's kept, get an updated certified copy and hand it to you, in Venezuela or wherever you are. And if you need it for use abroad, we also get it legalized (official verification of a signature or document) and apostilled (Hague Convention certification for use abroad) through the right channel, as a separate service. The little piece of paper everyone asks for, sorted out in one go.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley Orgánica de Registro Civil (Organic Civil Registry Law) · Código Civil (Civil Code)
- The document is obtained at the Registro Civil office where the record is kept or that issues the certificate; if it's in another state, we still handle it.
- To use it abroad, it has to be apostilled, as a separate service.
- We can handle this procedure 100% for you, with no need for you to travel.
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
