FAQ
What happens if I don't deregister someone who left?
You keep paying contributions for them month after month, and discrepancies build up that are costly to correct later. And if you don't register a new hire on time, they work without coverage.
How often do I have to report?
With every hire or departure, within the legal deadline.
How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $45, covers a group of changes; it's adjusted based on the number. If they're ongoing, IVSS payroll maintenance is the better fit.
Is it the same as enrollment?
Enrollment is the initial registration; here we handle ongoing hires and terminations.
What do I need to give you?
The details of each hire or departure with its date; we enter it into Tiuna (IVSS online system).
About this procedure
Your company's payroll isn't static: people come in, people leave, and each of those changes has to be reflected with IVSS at the right time. When you hire someone, they have to be registered; when someone resigns or you let them go, they have to be deregistered. They look like minor procedures, but they're exactly the ones that throw everything off when they're allowed to slide, because Social Security keeps counting an employee who already left, or doesn't recognize one who already started.
Disorder in hires and terminations is one of the most common causes of the discrepancies that later show up as debt or as a snag when you apply for a compliance certificate. You keep paying contributions for someone who's no longer there, or you leave a gap for someone who started and you didn't register, and when you request a statement or an inspection arrives, the numbers don't add up. And fixing that after the fact is always more costly and cumbersome than doing it on time.
We keep that back-and-forth in order: we report every hire and every termination of your staff to IVSS within the legal deadline, so your Social Security payroll is always a faithful mirror of your company. The price starts at $45 and is adjusted based on the number of changes. An advisor reviews your case and confirms before we start, no strings attached.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley del Seguro Social (Social Security Law) · Ley Orgánica del Sistema de Seguridad Social (Organic Law on the Social Security System)
- Hires and terminations must be reported to IVSS within the legal deadlines for each change
- Neglecting them creates discrepancies in the contributions (from continuing to pay for someone who left or not registering someone who started) that later show up as debt or hold up a compliance certificate
- Contributions are paid by the company
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
