Where we come from

From a very young age, José Guarisma, one of its founders, was an entrepreneur at heart. He grew up watching his parents' hard, honest work, and that's where it all comes from. By the time he finished law school, he was already an established merchant, with real experience in trade, importing and exporting. He never planned it; it just came naturally. And he already carried another root with him, the world of graphic design and communication, which gave him an eye for understanding markets.

In 1999 he graduated as a lawyer, but he stayed devoted to business. Then, as the 2000s arrived, he asked himself the question that would change his course: I'm a lawyer, and I'm not going to shelve my degree, so why not bring law and business together? That's how Grupo Jurídico 2000 was born, a company incorporated in Venezuela with a social mission: to bring low-cost legal advice and procedures to churches, community councils and any organization that needed help, with its sights set on the decade that was just beginning.

The first day was straight out of a movie: at a church, the priest called him up to speak without warning, in front of the whole congregation. With nothing prepared, he told the truth: they had come to help, to draw up documents at half price. The next day, the office, across from the courthouse in Maracay, was packed. That's when we learned something you never forget: the law also has a commercial side, and people need someone who sorts things out for them, not someone who makes things harder.

That first Grupo Jurídico 2000 ran on pure vocation, with no tools beyond the law itself and a business idea in mind.

We didn't have the means, but we were clear about the why.

The road we've traveled

Over the years, the road took its founders through several countries. Today, behind Abogado Comercial there are decades of business experience forged in Venezuela, Colombia, the Caribbean, the United States, Mexico and Europe. Added to that root is a living foundation in academia, with a presence in universities that train professionals in law, accounting, business administration and computer systems, among other fields, which we keep learning from, along with partnerships in different parts of the world.

Because while law was opening the way, two other roots kept growing alongside it, and they're still alive today. The first, graphic design and communication: more than thirty years without ever letting go of it, the backbone that holds everything up. The second arrived eighteen years ago, when José dove headfirst into technology and development. And twelve years ago he crossed paths with Junnior Rivas, more than a partner, a brother, and together they gave everything its technological shape. They built a career creating systems, websites and portals for domestic and international companies: geolocation, fleet management, data management, payment gateways and more.

Out of that partnership came complete ecosystems that are alive and running today.

And although along the way we also built small, medium and mid-range projects and worked for large-scale companies, our entrepreneurial mindset always pushed us to think big. Edusof, Squuad and Abogado Comercial are the proof.

We've lived through every era of technology, from when there was nothing and we coded everything by hand, to today's artificial intelligence. That's why we know the essence, the very roots of development. Our portal is not an artificial intelligence gimmick: we use the best tools available today, but with the craft of people who have known the terrain from the very beginning.

Why Abogado Comercial was born

And as true business owners, we lived firsthand what we solve today. We got fined, bounced from a lawyer to a paperwork runner, from one agency to the next, in a maze that never ended. Out of that pain, Abogado Comercial was born, so no one else would have to go through it.

And Abogado Comercial isn't born small. From day one it was designed to cover the entire country, with the structure ready to reach every corner of Venezuela. And from there, ready to grow across Latin America and other parts of the world. A portal built to get people talking.

That's why Abogado Comercial isn't born improvised. In 2026 it grows from a seed planted back in 2000, when all we had was the calling and the drive. And it arrives fully equipped: two mature crafts, its own technology ecosystem and everything learned along the way, poured into a single project.

After years in technology, advertising, commerce, importing and development, we realized something: we had always done the same thing, getting things solved. Taking whatever someone is struggling with and handing it back to them resolved. That's the only thing we know how to do, and it's what Abogado Comercial is today. A single word brings all of this to life: solutions.
