FAQ

What happens if the bank or the investor asks me for audited statements and I don't have them?

The loan, the investment or the tender falls through. No big player puts money on numbers that an independent third party hasn't reviewed.

What's the difference from regular statements?

Audited statements carry the opinion of an independent third party that backs your numbers.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $300, covers the audit and the auditor's report; it's adjusted based on the company's size and volume of transactions.

Who asks for them?

Banks, partners, investors, tenders and parent companies.

Is it the same as the comisario?

No: the comisario (statutory auditor required by Venezuelan law) is a different corporate role; we tell you whether you need one, the other or both.

About this procedure

An accounting audit is the independent review of your company's financial statements by a licensed public accountant who isn't involved in your day-to-day accounting. Its goal is to give a professional opinion on whether those statements fairly reflect the company's real situation, and that opinion is set out in a document that carries weight: the auditor's report. It isn't a formality: it's the seal of credibility for your numbers in front of the world.
When a bank evaluates you for a loan, when a new partner or investor comes in, when you take part in a serious tender or when the parent company requires it, they almost always ask for audited financial statements. The difference between statements that are simply prepared and audited ones is huge: the first are your company's word, the second are backed by an independent third party who puts their signature and professional liability on the line by giving an opinion.
We carry out the audit following the auditing standards in force in Venezuela, review your accounting, verify it, and issue the auditor's report signed by a licensed public accountant. The price starts at $300 and goes up depending on the company's size, the volume of transactions and the state of the books. An accountant reviews your case and gives you the exact figure before we start, no strings attached.
