FAQ
What happens if I go to the bank or the consulate without a personal balance sheet?
They don't evaluate your application: the loan, the card or the visa requires seeing how much you have, and only a balance sheet signed by an accountant and carrying a visado proves it.
Why do they ask me for it?
For loans, higher-limit cards and visa applications.
How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $65, includes the Colegio's visado for a standard net worth; if it's large, the visado is adjusted and we let you know before we charge you.
Is it the same as the income certification?
No: the certification shows how much you earn, the balance sheet shows how much you have. They're usually requested together.
What do I need to give you?
A list of your assets, accounts and debts with supporting documents; we give you the checklist.
About this procedure
If the income certification shows how much you earn, the personal balance sheet shows how much you have. It's the statement of financial position of an individual: it puts your assets (what you own), your liabilities (what you owe) and your net worth (the difference, your real wealth) in a single document. Banks ask for it for higher-limit loans and credit cards, and embassies often ask for it along with the income certification when they assess your financial standing for a visa.
Putting together a serious personal balance sheet isn't filling out a form: you have to identify and properly value your assets, match them against your debts, and present it under the accounting principles accepted in Venezuela, signed by a licensed public accountant. And as with any work by an accountant, you'll almost always be required to have it carry the visado of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos (the accountants' professional association) and be on security paper. That association visado is calculated precisely on the size of your net worth, and that's where people get lost.
We take care of the whole thing in a single service: the accountant reviews the supporting documents for your assets and debts, prepares the balance sheet under the standards, issues it on security paper with signature and stamp, and handles the visado. The base price covers the standard case; if your net worth is large, the association's visado goes up according to that size and we tell you clearly before we start. We don't sell a piece of paper: we sell the portrait of your financial standing, ready to get approved for whatever you're applying for.
Legal framework and important notes
Código Orgánico Tributario (Organic Tax Code)
- The personal balance sheet is signed by a licensed public accountant and carries a visado, under the standards of the Federación de Colegios de Contadores Públicos de Venezuela (national federation of public accountants' associations) and the accounting principles accepted in Venezuela
- The base price includes the visado; for large net worths, the association's visado is calculated on that size and may be adjusted
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
