What it costs and how to pay
There are two separate payments, and we want you to see them clearly.
Our fee: we do all the work for you.
The official registry fee. It goes straight to the agency, and we give you the exact amount, with its receipt, before you pay anything.
How you pay: 50% when we start and 50% on delivery. In dollars, in bolívares at the official BCV exchange rate, or with Cashea.
How is your investment calculated?
Your investment has two parts, and we want you to see them clearly from the start. What you pay us, our professional fee for handling the process, from $350. That's what it costs for us to do all the work for you.
What goes to the government, the official Commercial Registry fee. That money doesn't stay with us; it goes straight to the Registry. A corredor público isn't a company but the authorization of an individual, so the fee covers the recording of your broker credential and goes up with the number of pages in the document; it starts at a minimum of about $30. Why don't we give you a single fixed price? Because the government fee changes with your activity and the number of pages in your document. A simple document is not the same as one with a broader scope. Giving you a fixed number would be misleading you. The amounts you see here are a base estimate so you have a realistic idea. Our lawyer gives you the exact calculation — professional fee and official fees — before you pay anything, always with no strings attached.
FAQ
What happens if I act as an intermediary without being registered?
Your transactions have no legal backing, you can't attest to them and you compete at a disadvantage with formal brokers.
Does the price include the registry costs?
No. The professional fee from $350 is ours; the Registry's official fees are calculated separately and we tell you the amount beforehand.
Is this a company?
No. It's the legal authorization of an individual to work as a broker, not a company with partners.
What does registering do for me?
It lets you work as a broker with legal backing, attest to transactions and gain credibility with clients and companies.
What if I'm missing some required documents?
We review them with you and help you complete whatever is needed.
About this procedure
A corredor público is a professional authorized to act as an intermediary in commercial transactions: they bring the parties to a deal together and attest to certain commercial transactions. To practice legally, the Código de Comercio (Commercial Code) requires registering and meeting formal requirements at the Commercial Registry.
Unlike with companies, here you're not forming a business with partners; instead, an individual is authorized to work as a broker with legal backing. It's the step that turns an informal intermediary into a broker with credibility and standing before third parties.
We take care of everything: we check that you meet the requirements, prepare and organize the required documents, draft whatever is needed, submit your file to the Commercial Registry and support you throughout the process. If you're unsure whether you qualify or what you need, let's talk: we'll advise you, no strings attached.
Legal framework and important notes
Código de Comercio (Commercial Code), articles 66 to 72 · Ley de Registros y Notarías (Registries and Notaries Law), article 85
- The estimated time may vary depending on the Commercial Registry's availability
- The Código de Comercio doesn't require a university degree, it requires legal capacity to engage in commerce, so a minor's early grant of capacity (habilitación de edad) isn't accepted; you must be of legal age
- Nor can anyone register who has been declared bankrupt and not yet discharged, or who has been removed from the post of broker or vendutero (auctioneer)
- Public status is backed by a bond, which can't be canceled while you hold that status
- Personal requirements may vary depending on your situation; in the initial consultation we confirm exactly what you need
- The final amount of official fees depends on your particular case
- This structure authorizes an individual; it doesn't form a company
- If what you want is to set up a company, check the other options under Company registration
- If you're unsure whether you qualify, let's talk. We'll guide you, no strings attached
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
