FAQ

What happens if I do my accounting "whenever I can"?

Your returns go overdue, the fines pile up, and the day you need a balance sheet for the bank, there's nothing to pull it from. Accounting kept up every month is the only kind that doesn't cost you fines.

How much does it cost and what does it include?

The professional fee is from $250 a month and includes books, records, IVA and ISLR filed, and an accountant who answers for your company with SENIAT every month; it's not just bookkeeping.

What if I have overdue months?

First they're brought up to date (quoted separately), and then you join the monthly plan.

Can I cancel?

Yes, with advance notice; you pay going forward, with no lock-in.

Does it include paying the taxes?

No; you pay the taxes, we calculate and file them.

About this procedure

Keeping a company's books in Venezuela isn't a procedure you do once: it's a monthly race against SENIAT's calendar. Every month there are invoices to sort, books to update, accounts to reconcile and, above all, returns to file on time, because a late or wrong return means a fine, and a repeated fine is a serious matter. For a business owner, that's time and headspace taken away from what actually makes money.
Monthly accounting is your complete accounting department, without the weight of an accountant on payroll with their salary, severance benefits and vacation. Every month we take your transactions, bring your books up to date and, most important, file your IVA and ISLR returns on time, so you're never out of compliance. It's a single package that handles everything for the month; you don't have to look for one person to keep your books and another to file your returns.
The price starts at $250 a month and is adjusted to the real size of your company: how many invoices you handle, how many employees you have, and whether you're a special taxpayer (a larger taxpayer designated by SENIAT), which means more obligations and more frequent filings. Honesty first: you could do this yourself or with an in-house accountant, and it might even look cheaper on paper; what you pay for here is taking the whole hassle off your plate, having an accountant responsible for your company every month, and sleeping well knowing you're always up to date with SENIAT. Your accountant reviews your case and gives you the exact monthly fee before we start, no strings attached.
