How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $30, covers the full handling; official registry fees and shipping are separate.

No, we handle it for you.
Does my degree have to be recorded?
Yes; if it isn't yet, we record it first.
About this procedure
A certified copy of a university degree is a faithful reproduction, stamped by the Registro Principal, of your degree already recorded there. It's very useful when you don't want to put the original at risk, when you've lost it or when a procedure requires a recent copy with fe pública. There's a point in your favor: the certified copy of a university degree recorded at the Registro Principal is among the documents that can now be handled through the digital channel of SAREN (Venezuela's registries and notaries service), which speeds up the process a lot. It's a common step before getting the degree an apostille (Hague Convention certification for use abroad) to emigrate, study or work abroad. We handle it for you: we check that your degree is recorded, request the certified copy and hand it to you ready to use. If it's going abroad, keep in mind that the academic legalization (official verification of a signature or document) of the degree goes through the GTU (the Ministry of University Education's online system), and we link it to the apostille at the MPPRE (Venezuela's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which issues apostilles). Tell us what you need and we'll get it done.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley de Registros y Notarías (Registries and Notaries Law) · Código Civil (Civil Code) · 1961 Hague Apostille Convention
- The academic route. Legalizing degrees for use abroad goes through the GTU of the Ministry of University Education, not through SAREN; public universities have a prior certification step.
- A certified copy of a recorded degree does go through SAREN's digital channel.
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
