Accounting service

We prepare and file your IVA return with SENIAT, on time, every month or twice a month if you're a special taxpayer. IVA doesn't forgive: a late return means a guaranteed fine. We get it filed on schedule so you can sleep easy.

FAQ

What happens if I miss the IVA deadline?

A fine for each missed return plus interest, and if it happens again, SENIAT can close your premises. It's the tax behind more business closures than any other.

How often is it filed?

Ordinary taxpayers: monthly, within the first 15 days of the following month. Special taxpayers: twice a month, on SENIAT's calendar.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $45, covers one return with a normal invoice volume; it varies with volume and because special taxpayers file twice a month.

Does it include paying the tax?

No; you pay the IVA, we calculate and file it.

Is the package worth it?

If it's every month, Monthly accounting with IVA included works out better.

About this procedure

IVA is the most repetitive tax obligation and the one that causes the most headaches, because it never lets up: if you're an ordinary taxpayer, you file every month within the first 15 calendar days of the following month; and if you're a special taxpayer (a larger taxpayer designated by SENIAT), you file twice a month according to the calendar SENIAT publishes. It's not a once-a-year thing you can prepare for calmly: it's a constant commitment, and every time you miss the date, the fine is automatic.
Filing IVA isn't just filling out a form. Your purchase and sales ledgers have to be up to date, output VAT has to be calculated correctly against input VAT credits, the right rate has to be applied, and the return has to be filed through Form 30 on the SENIAT portal with no errors, because a badly done return exposes you just as much as not filing at all. For a business owner, keeping an eye on that every fifteen or thirty days is a weight that pulls focus from what actually makes money.
We take care of it: we take your purchase and sales ledgers, calculate your IVA and file it on time, period after period. The price starts at $45 per return and goes up with your invoice volume and whether you're a special taxpayer, which means two returns a month instead of one. And if you'd rather forget about it altogether, this comes included in Monthly accounting: a single package that handles your bookkeeping and your returns together. The accountant reviews your case and gives you the exact figure before we start, no strings attached.
