FAQ

What happens if I go to the bank without signed financial statements?

They won't evaluate you: the bank needs to see your company in numbers under VEN-NIF and with an accountant's signature. Without that, the loan doesn't get off the ground.

Will they work for the bank?

Yes, prepared under VEN-NIF and signed by an accountant, which is what banks ask for.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $150, covers the full set with your books in order; the visado (sign-off) from the Colegio de Contadores Públicos (the accountants' professional association), if required, is quoted separately.

Are they audited?

No: they're prepared and signed. An audit with an auditor's opinion is a separate service; if you're required to have one, we'll tell you.

What do they include?

Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, changes in equity and notes.

About this procedure

When you apply for a loan, when a partner or an investor comes in, or when you bid in a tender, nobody settles for you saying your company is doing well: they ask for your financial statements. They're the official, orderly snapshot of your business's health, and they include the statement of financial position (formerly called the balance sheet), the income statement, the cash flow statement and the statement of changes in equity.
The key is that this isn't a homemade Excel table. In Venezuela, financial statements are prepared under VEN-NIF, the generally accepted accounting standards issued by the Federación de Colegios de Contadores Públicos (Venezuela's national federation of public accountants' associations), with one version for SMEs and another for large companies. A serious bank or investor won't accept anything else, and in a tax audit SENIAT (Venezuela's tax and customs authority) itself can demand them under that standard. That's why this work is signed by a licensed public accountant: that signature is what makes them valid.
We take your accounting information, organize it under the standard that fits your company's size, and deliver your complete financial statements, signed and ready to present. One important, honest detail: these are prepared and signed financial statements, which is what the vast majority of cases call for. If what you're specifically required to provide is an audit with an independent auditor's opinion, that's a different, more comprehensive service, and we'll tell you so plainly so you don't pay too much or too little. The price starts at $150 and is adjusted to the size of your company and the periods you need covered; the accountant gives you the exact figure before we start, no strings attached.
