About this procedure

LOCTI, the Ley Orgánica de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Organic Law on Science, Technology and Innovation), creates a contribution that many midsize and large companies don't even know applies to them, until FONACIT comes knocking. The law requires a contribution from legal entities, public or private, that carry out economic activity in Venezuela and exceed the annual gross revenue threshold set in article 30 of the law. If your company is in that range, registering as a contributor with FONACIT, through the SIDCAI system, is the first mandatory step, and from then on you have to file and pay the contribution.
The typical issue is that this is a silent contribution: no monthly bill shows up the way the electric bill does, so it gets forgotten or ignored, until the company needs a compliance certificate, faces an audit or wants to contract with the government, and finds out it's carrying years of omissions with their fines and interest. Starting with the right registration is what keeps that hole from opening.
We get you registered and in order: we check whether your company qualifies as a contributor, handle the registration with FONACIT in the SIDCAI system and leave you ready to file the contribution. The price starts at $65 and is adjusted to your case. An accountant reviews your situation and confirms before we start, no strings attached.
