FAQ

What happens if I submit my financial statements abroad without legalizing them?

The bank, the partner or the tender treats them as paper with nothing behind it. Legalized and apostilled, they're proof of your company's health.

Why legalize my financial statements?

To submit them to banks, partners or entities abroad with legal validity.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $60, covers the legalization with SAREN and the apostille; official registry fees, which depend on the number of pages, are separate.

Are legalizing and apostilling the same thing?

They're stages of the process for use abroad; we do both.

What does the timing depend on?

On the number of pages; the estimate is 3 to 6 business days.

About this procedure

The certification of financial statements is the document, backed by a public accountant, that shows your company's financial position: balance sheet, income statement and equity. It's requested legalized and apostilled when the company needs to prove its financial strength abroad: before a foreign bank, an investor, an international tender, a parent company, or a credit or due diligence process. The chain starts at the Registro Mercantil (Commercial Registry) where it was certified, goes through SAREN and ends with the apostille from the MPPRE (Venezuela's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which issues apostilles). We handle the legalization through the SAREN online system and process the apostille, starting from the certification your accountant has already issued. We deliver it ready to submit. If you still need an accountant to prepare and certify the statements, we connect you with our financial partners.
