About this procedure
A commercial power of attorney is the document a company uses to authorize a person to act on its behalf: sign contracts and represent it before banks, agencies or partners. When that representative has to act outside the country, or the power of attorney has to be submitted to a foreign entity, it must be legalized and apostilled. The chain starts at the Registro Mercantil (Commercial Registry) or the Notaría Pública (government notary office) where it was granted, goes through SAREN and ends with the apostille from the MPPRE (Venezuela's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which issues apostilles). We check that the power of attorney was properly granted, handle its legalization through the SAREN online system and process the apostille. We hand you the power of attorney ready for your representative to act for the company with full validity wherever you need it. If the power of attorney hasn't been granted yet, that's a service we also offer.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley de Registros y Notarías (Registries and Notaries Law) · Código Civil (Civil Code) · Código de Comercio (Commercial Code) · 1961 Hague Apostille Convention
- We start from the document already recorded or certified.
- The chain is Commercial Registry, SAREN and the MPPRE apostille.
- If the data doesn't match the system, the procedure is rejected; that's why we check first.
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
