FAQ
What happens if I go to the bank to represent the person without the legalized ruling?
They won't recognize you, and the person's affairs come to a standstill. The legalized ruling is what authorizes you to act on their behalf.
Why legalize an interdiction or partial incapacity ruling?
To prove the limitation on legal capacity before banks or agencies, in Venezuela or abroad.
How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $35, covers legalization at the Registro Principal; official fees are separate, and the apostille is added if it's going abroad.
Does the ruling have to be final?
Yes, final and non-appealable; we check it for you first.
What if it was issued in another country?
That requires an exequatur (court recognition of a foreign judgment); we'll guide you.
About this procedure
An interdiction or partial incapacity ruling declares that a person can't manage their own affairs and appoints someone to represent or assist them legally. You need it legalized so the guardian or conservator (tutor or curador) can act before banks, registries, insurers and agencies on behalf of the protected person. Outside the court that issued it, it requires legalization by the Registro Principal. We check that it's final, handle the legalization at the Registro Principal or through the online system of SAREN (Venezuela's registries and notaries service), and hand it to you ready. If you'll use it abroad, we also process the apostille. It's a sensitive procedure that we handle with the care your family deserves.
Legal framework and important notes

- The ruling must be final and non-appealable before it can be legalized.
- If the data doesn't match the system, the procedure is rejected.
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
