Our fee: we do all the work for you.

To the agencySeparate

The official registry fee. It goes straight to the agency, and we give you the exact amount, with its receipt, before you pay anything.

How you pay: You pay once, when we start. In dollars, in bolívares at the official BCV exchange rate, or with Cashea.

How is your investment calculated?

Your investment has two parts, and we want you to see them clearly from the start. What you pay us — Our professional fee for handling the process, from $25. It's what it costs for us to buy, file and pick up your stamped books

What's paid to the government — The official registry fee of the Commercial Registry. That amount doesn't stay with us; it goes straight to the Registry and runs about $6 per book plus an additional amount for each page; with the minimum of 5 books, it comes to about $30

Why don't we give you a single flat price? Because the government fee changes depending on how many books you stamp and how many pages each one has. Stamping the minimum of 5 books isn't the same as stamping new books with more pages. Quoting you a fixed number would be misleading you The lawyer gives you the exact figure before you pay anything, no strings attached.

FAQ

What happens if I use unstamped books?

They have no evidentiary value. In a SENIAT (Venezuela's tax and customs authority) audit, it's as if you kept no accounting records, and the Registry may flag minutes entered in an unstamped book.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $25, covers handling. The Registry charges about $6 per book plus an additional amount per page; with the minimum of 5 books it comes to about $30, but it varies with the number of pages.

Which books do I need to stamp?

It depends on your type of company. The general journal and the inventory book must be stamped before they're used; depending on your company, the general ledger, the shareholder register and the minutes book are added.

Who keeps those books?

Your accountant keeps the accounting books; the company keeps the minutes book. We handle the stamping at the Registry.

Can I stamp books for a company that's already operating?

Yes, when you run out of pages or start a new fiscal year.

About this procedure

Every business is required by the Código de Comercio (Commercial Code) to keep statutory books, and some of them — the general journal and the inventory book — can't be used until they've been stamped at the Commercial Registry where your company's file is kept. Depending on your type of company, the general ledger, the shareholder register and the shareholders' meeting minutes book are added to these.

The procedure looks simple, but it involves buying the right books, calculating the payment based on the number of pages, filing them at the Registry and then picking them up once they're stamped. We make that whole trip for you. You tell us which books you need — or, if you're not sure, our lawyer guides you — and we return them to you ready to use.

The cost has two parts: our professional fee for handling the process, and the official registry fee of the Commercial Registry, which is charged per book and per page. Since each company stamps a different number of books, we confirm the exact amount in the quote, always with no strings attached.
