FAQ
What happens if I bid on a public tender without the FAOV compliance certificate?
You're disqualified. They ask for all three payroll contribution certificates together, and this one is blocked by a single month in arrears.
What is the FAOV compliance certificate for?
Public tenders, contracts and procedures that require proof that you meet your housing savings obligations.
How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $65, covers reviewing your status and processing the certificate if you're current; getting current is quoted separately.
Will I get it if I owe?
No. You have to be current first; that's why we review your status beforehand.
Is it different from the IVSS one?
Yes. This one is for housing (BANAVIH); the IVSS one is for social security.
About this procedure
The BANAVIH compliance certificate is the document in which the Banco Nacional de Vivienda y Hábitat (National Housing and Habitat Bank) certifies that your company is current with FAOV: that your employees are enrolled and your housing contributions are paid up. It's another one of those keys that open big doors in Venezuela. Together with the IVSS (Venezuelan Social Security Institute) compliance certificate, it's one of the documents you're asked for to bid on public tenders, sign contracts and show that you're an employer who meets every obligation to its people.
As with any compliance certificate, the trouble shows up when you need it right now and find out you're not as current as you thought: one month of FAOV that never got filed, an employee who was never enrolled, a miscalculated contribution that left a shortfall. Any one of those keeps the certificate from being issued, so getting it means first reviewing your actual standing with BANAVIH and clearing whatever was pending before the document can be obtained.
We handle your FAOV compliance certificate from start to finish: we review your status with BANAVIH, spot anything that needs to be resolved first, and process the document so you have it in hand when you need it. The price starts at $65 and is adjusted to your situation. An advisor reviews your case and confirms before we start, no strings attached.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley del Régimen Prestacional de Vivienda y Hábitat (Housing and Habitat Benefits Law, FAOV)
- The BANAVIH compliance certificate shows that the employer is current with FAOV (enrollments and contributions) and is a frequent requirement for public tenders and contracts
- It isn't issued while obligations are pending; those must be settled first (quoted separately)
- It's different from the IVSS and INCES compliance certificates
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
