FAQ

What happens if I operate without a CPS?

You're providing a public service without INTT authorization, which exposes you to penalties and to having your vehicles pulled off the road.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $250, covers the handling; fees, insurance and the technical inspection are separate.

What insurance is required?

What if my minutes are out of date?

They're updated first; we help you with that as a separate service.

About this procedure

The CPS, the service provision certificate, is the document the Instituto Nacional de Transporte Terrestre (INTT), Venezuela's land transport authority, uses to authorize a line, cooperative or company to provide public passenger transport. It's what separates the operator that works with peace of mind from the one that lives in fear of having its vehicles pulled off the road: without a valid CPS, the line is operating outside the law, and that weighs on you at every checkpoint and every inspection.
This isn't a single form: it's a complete file. The INTT asks for the formal application, a current RIF (Venezuelan tax ID), the articles of incorporation and up-to-date meeting minutes, the registration of the fleet's vehicles, the contracts if any units are leased, the civil liability policy and personal accident insurance for passengers, the technical inspection of each unit and the endorsement of the terminal or stop. One expired set of minutes, a policy that doesn't cover what it should or a unit that fails inspection is enough to bring everything to a halt.
We put together the complete file for you: we review the organization's and the fleet's documents, tell you what's missing, organize the folder and handle your CPS with the INTT. The price starts at $250 and is adjusted to the size of the fleet and the type of service. A lawyer reviews your case and confirms with you before we start, no strings attached.
