FAQ

What happens if I don't file INCES for a quarter?

The contribution becomes debt with interest, and you lose your compliance certificate and access to training programs. And since it's quarterly, one slip weighs three months.

When is it filed?

Quarterly, within the deadline INCES sets.

How much does it cost?

The professional fee, from $65, covers calculating and filing one quarter, based on the size of the payroll; the company pays the contribution.

How much is it?

2% of total payroll from the employer and 0.5% of utilidades from the employee.

Is the subscription worth it?

Yes. The Payroll contributions up to date subscription covers IVSS (Venezuelan Social Security Institute), FAOV (mandatory housing savings fund) and INCES.

About this procedure

The INCES contribution is filed and paid quarterly, not monthly, and that's exactly the trap many employers fall into: since it isn't a monthly routine, it's easy for the deadline to slip by without anyone noticing. The law requires the employer to pay in two percent of the quarter's total payroll, plus the half percent withheld from employees on their utilidades (mandatory profit-sharing bonus), within the deadline the institute sets. It sounds simple, but because it's quarterly, it's easy to forget.
And falling behind with INCES works just like it does with the other contributions: every quarter that goes by adds interest and shortfalls, and the blow lands when you request the compliance certificate for a public tender or a contract and it isn't issued. On top of that, a miscalculated base, mixing up what does and doesn't count toward taxable payroll, leaves shortfalls you later have to chase down. What was a simple quarterly task turns into debt.
We make sure your INCES is filed and paid on time: we calculate the contribution on the quarter's payroll, prepare the return in the INCES online system and handle the payment within the deadline, so arrears never pile up and your compliance certificate never gets blocked. The price starts at $65 and is adjusted to the size of your payroll. An advisor reviews your case and confirms before we start, no strings attached.
