What it costs and how to pay
There are two separate payments, and we want you to see them clearly.
Our fee: we do all the work for you.
The official registry fee. It goes straight to the agency, and we give you the exact amount, with its receipt, before you pay anything.
How you pay: You pay once, when we start. In dollars, in bolívares at the official BCV exchange rate, or with Cashea.
How is your investment calculated?
Your investment depends on two things. What you pay us, professional fees, from $45, for finding the intérprete público, coordinating the translation and advising you on timing
The cost of the translation itself, which varies by language and document length (a one-page certificate isn't the same as a full case file) Your lawyer gives you the exact figure before you pay anything, no strings attached.
FAQ
What happens if I have the document translated by any translator?
It gets rejected. Only a translation by a licensed, sworn intérprete público is valid, and you end up paying twice for the same thing.
Will any translator do?
No. It has to be an accredited intérprete público; otherwise, it gets rejected.
How much does it cost?
The professional fee, from $45, covers finding the intérprete público, coordinating the translation and advising you on the order; the translation itself and shipping are quoted separately, based on language and length.
Do I translate before or after the apostille?
It depends on the procedure and the country; we'll tell you.
In what languages?
We coordinate based on the intérprete público available for your language.
About this procedure
Did you know you can hire an intérprete público yourself for your translation? It's absolutely true. We're a services company: we find you the right intérprete público, coordinate the certified translation and fit it into the exact right moment of the apostille process, without you having to look into anything. We do it for you and send you the document wherever you are, in Venezuela or abroad.
When your document is going to a country that doesn't speak Spanish, you'll almost always be asked for a translation, but not just any translation: it has to be a certified translation, which in Venezuela is done by an intérprete público, a translator accredited by the government under the Ley de Intérpretes Públicos (Public Interpreters Law). A translation done by just anyone isn't valid and gets rejected. And there's one question that trips everyone up: do I translate first or apostille first? The honest answer is that it depends on the procedure and the destination country. Some ask you to apostille the Venezuelan document and translate it there; others require the translation to be certified, and even apostilled, from here. Getting that order wrong makes you repeat everything and pay twice. That's where we come in: we find you the right intérprete público for the language you need, coordinate the certified translation and, above all, tell you exactly when in the process to do it for your case, so you don't lose time or money. And we send you the document wherever you are, in Venezuela or abroad.
Legal framework and important notes
Ley de Registros y Notarías (Registries and Notaries Law) · Código Civil (Civil Code) · 1961 Hague Apostille Convention
- In Venezuela, certified translations are done by an accredited intérprete público (Ley de Intérpretes Públicos, published in the Gaceta Oficial, Venezuela's Official Gazette, special issue No. 6.703 of 05/25/2022); a regular translation isn't valid
- The order of translation and apostille depends on the destination country and procedure; always confirm it with the receiving institution
- 100% online service, with no in-person signing by the client
- The estimated time depends on the language, the document's length and the intérprete público's schedule
- We work to get it done as quickly as possible and keep you informed at every step
We guarantee our service, not what the agency decides. If something depends on them, we tell you clearly and in time.
